Motors / Experimental / Hybrid

On May 11th, 2013 t' AeroScience students o' Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD's Hollenstein Career and Technology Center participated in SystemsGo's annual high school high powered rocket launch in Freeport TX. These student teams designed and built two high powered rockets. Avast, me proud beauty! T' first team (Cesar, me bucko, Gadiel, Morgan, Nathan, shiver me timbers, Noel, ya bilge rat, William), Maroon shirts, arrr, purple rocket: used a "J" class hybrid motor in an attempt t' launch a 5 ½ feet tall, ya bilge rat, 8.2 pound rocket t' an altitude o' 1 mile. Sadly, t' parachute did nay deploy. So, me hearties, t' rocket (or what be left o' t' rocket) had t' be dug out o' an 18 inch deep hole. T' second team (Marisa, Zach, John, me bucko, Yessenia, Brennen, Suzette), Tan shirts, pink & green rocket: used an "L" class hybrid motor in an attempt t' launch an 8 ½ feet tall, 23 pound rocket t' a transonic velocity while stayin' below 13,000 feet. Aye aye! Thank you t' Dakota, for takin' and editin' this video.
