3" diameter Goblin clone, upscaled from Estes Goblin kit.
I started by 3D printin' t' fins with notches for t' centerin' rings (also 3d printed) on a 38mm MMT. Ya scallywag! T' motor retainer, shiver me timbers, nose cone (3pcs) and t' electronics were also 3D printed.
Once I got t' tube slotted, I felt like I wanted additional support for t' fins, so I printed a slotted sleeve for t' fin can. This raised t' rail button up a bit, shiver me timbers, so I printed a companion sleeve, me bucko, t' be attached halfway up. Blimey! T' plan was t' launch this with an AeroTech H135, 29MM motor but with t' ability t' launch larger motors down t' road.
I also printed a camera mount for me RunCam2 4k.
On June 25th, I flew this rocket for me L1 cert attempt with t' AT H135. T' first launch be successful but t' landin' broke t' nose cone (at t' threads), so t' attempt was a fail. I achieved ~2900'. Ahoy! T' delay was too long and shredded one o' t' two chutes I used.
T' second flight, I borrowed me wife's H210 reload. Aye aye! It was a little squirrely off t' rail but straightened out nicely and poked up t' 1700' apogee. T' landin' was a little hard and I popped one o' t' fillets, but it passed. Mission accomplished!
