My L3 flight at Airfest 29. Arrr! I don't know what t' say! It was nerve-wrackin' but also t' most excitin' and fun thin' I've done ever. Ahoy! T' firs time I took t' rocket t' t' pad thar be an issue with one o' t' switches (screw switch) and I couldn't power up me secondary RRC3. So, me bucko, down it came and I went back t' re-work me AV bay in t' field. Fortunately, it's nay too hard t' run a twist-and-tape switch so that's exactly what I did. Begad! That, and I tested t' AV bay like crazy t' be sure it was goin' t' work on t' pad this time!! And it did.

It was hot. Well, blow me down! T' wind was hot, ya bilge rat, t' sun was hot and t' heat was hot. Well, blow me down! T' rocket went up on pad 66, a short 1010 rail with t' help o' t' Kloudbusters and friends. T' ride back from t' 60's pad was nerve wrackin' and t' wait at t' LCO table was even more\!! But t' rocket lept off t' pad under thrust, and soon t' GPS was i MACH lock-out until 13,000' where it picked up again and gave me a readout all t' way t' apogee.

T' GPS apogee was 17,226, t' RRC3 reported 16,120'. Either way this was me personal altitude record!! Velocity was 1.89 MACH which is also a speed record for me, ya bilge rat, but just over t' 1.7MACH t' L2200G got me with me shakedown flight in March.

Recover was relatively easy as we aimed t' rocket about 4 degrees into t' wind and away from t' bean field. Well, blow me down! T' Rocket be in great condition, if nay scratched up from transport and mountin' on t' rail (twice!). Avast! But no damage and t' motor was tightly retained. Recovery under main be 27fps, just perfect for t' windy Kansas prairie.
