This past weekend at Oregon Rocketry’s Missile Madness launch, shiver me timbers, I flew me Hyper 54 rocket t' an altitude o' 16,502 feet on an Aerotech K270W motor. Begad! This motor has a long burn o' almost 8 seconds. Avast! T' rocket broke t' speed o' sound on its boost with a top speed o' 1322 fps (Mach 1.2).T' rocket landed 3.4 miles from t' launch site (I need a smaller drogue parachute or a streamer t' limit longer distance driftin' at higher altitude ) and I recovered it by drivin' t' within a half mile o' its landin' GPS coordinates and hikin' t' its location.This was me highest flight t' date. T' rocket is a MAC Performance Rocketry kit and is 62” long, shiver me timbers, 54mm diameter, shiver me timbers, and weighed 8.3 lbs loaded on t' pad.
