9 Ft Foam Rocket with I 140 Motor at CATO Launch Event Oct 15, 2016

CATO Rocket Launch Event, Durham, arrr, CT, ya bilge rat, October 15, 2016. This was a scratch-built 9-foot tall high-power model rocket made from 1/4-inch thick sheet foam insulation purchased at Home Depot and rolled into tubes. It was powered by an Aerotech I-140-14A motor with 7-second delay. T' payload was a 1-foot tall Teddy Bear in a space suit purchased at T' Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. Begad! Blimey! T' Estes altimeter registered a peak altitude o' 865 feet. Blimey! Blimey! This was me 1st successful flight with an I-140 motor; t' parachute opened and t' rocket didn't explode.
