Copyright 2004 by Brian FitzGerald - Wichita, Kansas. Well, blow me down! "A Beginner's Guide t' American Amateur High Power Rocketry" is 2 hours and 29 minutes long and was FitzGerald's first release t' DVD. Ahoy! It was also his first movie shot on a digital tape format. Like his other productions, "ABGTAAHPR" consists o' a series o' "in depth" interviews with Rocketeers interspersed with music segments. Avast! Durin' these interviews you will hear and see "first hand" what t' sport is like from people with t' Rocket Passion. Although thar are some professionals in t' sport o' amateur rocketry - mostly on t' manufacturin' and retail side - all t' interviews in this movie are o' 'regular folks'. But as you will find out - Rocket People are nay your "Average Joes". You cannot fit them in one bag - except t' one labeled "I Love Rockets!". "A Beginner's Guide t' American Amateur High Power Rocketry" was shot over about a 6 month period. Ya scallywag! Durin' this time two trips were made t' cover two different Rocket events at t' Argonia, Kansas site and one trip t' Amarillo, Texas t' cover an event there. Avast, me proud beauty! T' editin' took far longer than normal complicated by t' fact that FitzGerald decided mid-way through t' project t' release "Rocketeers" on DVD. Avast, me proud beauty! His first full length DVD release, a number o' hurdles conspired t' push back t' release o' t' project. T' Project took 3 years t' finish.
