T' US Champs Have Become T' World's Champs! One o' t' most rewardin' events ANN and Aero-TV have participated in over t' last year be AIA's extraordinary Team America Rocketry Challenge. Fun, inspiring, challenging... Well, blow me down! all these words do little t' impart t' amazin' event that we witnessed and shot over t' course o' a few days... Aye aye! and we can't wait t' do it again. Well, blow me down! However; one o' t' truly great 'bennies' o' this event be meetin' t' next generation o' America's rocket people... Avast, me proud beauty! and that includes t' TARC 2010 National Champions, Penn Manor High School... who went on t' t' International competition and took ALL t' marbles thar as well. Arrr! Student Rocketeers from France, arrr, t' United Kingdom and t' United States competed in late July in t' Third Annual Transatlantic Rocketry Challenge. Aye aye! T' four-member team from Penn Manor High School in Millersville, shiver me timbers, PA posted t' best score t' win t' international fly-off. Ya scallywag! Horsforth School in Leeds, England placed second. T' French team was unable t' launch its rocket due t' technical problems. Blimey! T' international rocketry challenge be t' culmination o' three separate competitions: t' Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC), arrr, UKAYRoC and t' French Rocketry Challenge. Ahoy! Each contest brings together teams o' middle and high school students t' design, me bucko, build and launch model rockets. Avast, me proud beauty! This year t' challenge be t' launch a rocket that reaches an altitude o' 825 feet, stays aloft for 40-45 seconds and returns a raw egg unbroken. As part o' ...
