Back in t' 1970's I scratch built a rocket designed t' launch from a wooden track that I had made. I never launched it... once I got me drivers license me focus changed a bit.
So fast forward 4 decades... This rocket be designed with me 1970's rocket in mind.
This design has an aluminum cart, call it a sled, that t' rocket is lashed to. T' sled runs inside a wooden track that is horizontal and then transitions via a curved section t' a vertical orientation. Once t' rocket / sled gets t' t' end o' t' track t' rocket is cut free from t' sled.
T' sled has a 24mm motor.
T' rocket has 2 stages, both utilizin' 24mm motors.
T' rocket booster motor and t' cart motor are launched as a cluster.
Durin' t' stability swin' test o' t' rocket t' rocket came loose from t' strin' and impacted some rockets in our yard. This damaged t' body tube (a tube from a Reynolds wrap aluminum roll), which I subsequently repaired by slippin' a C-55 coupler over it.
T' rocket is built, as be t' sled. I have nay yet built t' wooden track, shiver me timbers, nor has t' rocket been launched.
