Originally an Estes Astron Apogee II, t' Apogee Whiz was apparently damaged in a former life and rebuilt t' t' whims o' t' owner. I picked it up in an Ebay auction quite a while ago, and only recently realized that it would be an interestin' bird t' rebuild for flight service.

Ebay rescue bird. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Originally an Estes Astron Apogee, matey, but somewhere along t' way t' payload section be lost and replaces with, well, shiver me timbers, a piece o' balsa art. Aye aye! Blimey! Stagin' was perfect and t' A8-5 took t' sustainer out over US 27. Landed at home plate without t' balsa art nose cone, which was lost when t' screw eye stripped at ejection.
