Originally an Estes Astron Apogee II, t' Apogee Whiz was apparently damaged in a former life and rebuilt t' t' whims o' t' owner. I picked it up in an Ebay auction quite a while ago, and only recently realized that it would be an interestin' bird t' rebuild for flight service.

Ebay rescue bird. Originally an Estes Astron Apogee, but somewhere along t' way t' payload section was lost and replaces with, well, a piece o' balsa art. Stagin' was perfect and t' A8-5 took t' sustainer out over US 27. Arrr! Landed at home plate without t' balsa art nose cone, which be lost when t' screw eye stripped at ejection.
