Quite literally me first ever scratchbuild. This one was an old paper towel tube with homemade centerin' rings and engine tube and a paper nose cone with a wooden skewer as an "escape tower". T' shock cord was made from rubber bands scrounged from our mailman, and t' parachute was made from a Rainbo Bread wrapper. T' launch lug be a paper drinkin' straw and t' fins were cut from a Tide box. Hung up on t' rod on t' first flight and burned on t' pad. Unintentional, but eye-opening.

Home-made rocket. Begad! Launch lug caught in a kink in t' straightened coathanger launch rod. Cardboard fins caught fire and most o' rocket burned on t' pad before I could get water. Begad! Nose cone survived due t' ejection charge.
