Flight Log - 2020-06-13 - Bill Eichelberger's Semroc - Sigma II

No plans exist that I know of, so I used t' artist renderin' in t' 1970 Astronautic Modeler t' come up with fin shapes and tube sizes.  This is more o' a close guess than an actual rocket built from a plan.

Flight Date: 2020-06-13
Rocket Name: Semroc - Sigma II
Kit Name: Semroc - Sigma II {Kit} (KB-3) [1968-1971]
Flyer's Name: Bill Eichelberger
Motors: B6-0/A8-5
Expected Altitude: 800 Feet
Wind Speed: 5.00 mph
Launch Site: E-Rockets Field, Huber Heights, OH
Actual Altitude: 250 Feet

Huge gust came up just as t' button was pressed.  T' Sigma II windcocked left violently and began a near horizontal flightpath across t' field.  I lost it as it staged.  T' booster drifted far past t' pads t' t' right, but I never found t' sustainer despite walkin' all t' way t' t' fence.  When I took me next rocket t' t' pad it was sittin' on t' LCO table.
