Named "Phoenix" since it was our second Sky Trax RTF followin' t' destruction o' t' first one. Primarily used t' send up onboard video camera.

First night flight o' t' year. Phoenix 2 loaded with white translucent nosecone and bright red flashlight. Set t' solid beam rather than blinking. Launched on C-6-5. Good flight. Visible as a bright red dot throughout flight. Parachute deployed and opened successfully. Rocket drifted down into gully about 100 yards southeast o' t' launch site. Daniel recovered via flashlight within three minutes. No damage t' t' rocket.
