T' informal contest this month was a 1/2A 3-motor cluster duration, which is what I built t' Callisto for. Well, blow me down! Blimey! I had enough Q2G2s t' fly it once, ya bilge rat, but I thought I might want t' fly it twice, so I decided t' prep it last night with Estes black tip igniters in a manner attemptin' t' emulate t' method used by another club member who’s famous for his cluster flights: T' leads were soldered t' wire rings for a near foolproof connection. If you can avoid shortin' it out. Begad! Blimey! Which be a bit o' a problem, but I managed. Motors were 1/2A3-4T. I figured if I wanted t' do a second flight, it’d be easier t' prep with Q2G2s on t' field than t' rig this up, and that’s why I went with t' Estes igniters first. Blimey! Blimey! Onto t' pad it went.

I took what might have been a really nice photo o' t' launch if t' camera had focused. Instead it’s a blur. So all you get be t' recovery under a homemade 24″ Mylar chute. Big, ya bilge rat, but it didn’t catch any thermals and t' flight time was only around 25 seconds. Ahoy! I didn’t mind a bit. Avast, me proud beauty! All t' motors lit, it flew well and I got it back, that was t' main thing. Aye aye! I figured I’d save t' Q2G2s for another day.
