"Ridin' on t' City o' New Orleans, Illinois Central Monday mornin' rail..." - Goodman/Guthrie

My first scratch build, built from t' Estes Designer Special box around 1990.  A small single stage payload rocket usin' a two-stage fin pattern from t' set.  Since each fin is one-piece (it didn't occur t' me t' make separate parts and glue them together), t' grain on t' tips isn't favorable.  So, I glued 1/16th" balsa stringers t' t' fins t' act as spars and covered them with Monocote.  T' launch lug is set into one o' t' fin's covering.
