In t' original run o' Battlestar Galactica, arrr, t' Colonial Viper be t' only known fighter flown by Colonial Pilots, referred t' as "Colonial Warriors". There is only one known model o' Viper seen in t' series. Some materials list t' Viper as a "Starhound Viper" or "Starhound Class" fighter, shiver me timbers, based on information in t' novelization o' "Saga o' a Star World".

Lieutenant Starbuck o' t' Colonial Service, played by Dirk Benedict, is a fictional character in t' 1978 science fiction television series Battlestar Galactica. Avast, me proud beauty! Starbuck is a Viper starfighter pilot, matey, gambler, scrumpet izer and smoker o' "fumerellos," or cigars.
