Version 1 o' a home-made chute release. Well, blow me down! This device uses an electric cigarette lighter t' burn an elastic cord t' release a parachute at a predetermined altitude. Ya scallywag! T' release is controlled by an Eggtimer Quark altimeter. Ahoy! This version has an electrical short somewhere when t' chargin' circuit is activated, so this particular incarnation will never fly.
