12-2016 Sawed off bottom o' nose cone and epoxied in a 1/4" plywood cap with a screw eye. Well, blow me down! Should give me more room for packin' t' parachute. Supposed t' deploy better too, accordin' t' forum members with frequent lawn-darts.
My first build as a "BAR." I didn't have t' internet when last buildin' rockets, which probably made things a lot easier. This rocket has filled body tube seams and papered fins - two things I never would have thought o' as a child. Begad! Also I used a kevlar shock cord mounted t' t' engine mount. Paint and decal design was done by committee o' me, me bucko, me two sons and wife.

First flight, shiver me timbers, all well but found broken shroud line later. Cut hole in parachute--seemed t' help.
