Received kit on 06/09/2018. Blimey! Completed assembly on 06/09/2018. Build time: ~1.5 hr.

This is me first ever model rocket. It be given t' me as a birthday present.

I plan on usin' A8-3 engines for t' first launches, then movin' up t' B engines. Space is limited, so anythin' more than a B will have t' be a special occasion.

T' Alpha III is a beginner model rocket kit. Blimey! T' 1427 part includes a launch stand and controller. Avast, me proud beauty! T' rocket BT is painted black, it includes a 3 fin pre-assembled plastic fin unit and a plastic nosecone. Aye aye! All plastic parts, matey, as well as secondary colors and decals, are orange. T' model includes a 12 inch parachute with orange accents.

Construction was very easy, as is expected from an E2X kit. Arrr! All parts fit together on t' first try with no modifications except one decal. This decal wrapped around t' lower part o' t' BT, where t' launch lug is attached. Arrr! Due t' t' launch lug bein' attached there, t' decal had t' be trimmed t' fit around t' launch lug. This was a minor issue and was readily fixed with a few slices from a hobby knife. T' only equipment used was a hobby knife and wood glue.

T' launch pad be t' Porta-Pad II Rocket Launch Pad from Estes. Ya scallywag! All pieces fit together easily. Build was straight forward. Aye aye! No tools at all are required. T' launch rod is three pieces and required sandin' around t' unions t' ensure smoothness. Begad! T' hub can swivel 30 degrees and uses a win' nut t' secure t' angle as well as t' rod. Avast, me proud beauty! T' included rod is 1/8", and t' hub has a second hole that can accommodate a 3/16" rod, matey, which is nay included. All parts are red plastic. T' rod is metal.

T' launch controller be t' Electron Beam Model Rocket Launch Controller. All pieces were present, includin' 17 ft o' cable. 4 AA batteries were required, nay included.

Assembly is complete. I look forward t' me first launch in t' near future.
