Maiden Flight. Arrr! Quest Wadding. Incomplete deployment. Ahoy! Damaged vertical stabillizer
Did nay have sufficient velocity off t' rod for stability
Curved / arced over towards it's back, still mainly vertical when t' smoke charge indicated it was comin' back down
Even with recommended A10-3T engine this was un-nervingly close t' mother earth
Prayin' for t' fastest 3 seconds t' ejection charge, resulted in a deployment at 25 feet or less with t' rocket screamin' down
Chute just started t' deploy when t' wet grass broke t' decent abruptly. Didn't notictithe damage initially
When we packed up it was evident that t' vertical stabilizer was bein' held on by t' left glue fillet
A thin bead o' Elmer's Pro Max glue was applied and t' stabiller was eased back down into position
