July 19, 2019. Arrr! As part o' t' 50th Anniversary o' Apollo 11's launch, I built a 1/100 Saturn V model rocket usin' t' new Estes #1969 Saturn V rocket kit. It took many hours t' build and every friend I had said "Jay, don't fly it. it is too beautiful." But it is a model rocket, so I had t' fly it as much as me emotions kept givin' me second thoughts. Well, blow me down! Liftoff was 52 minutes past t' (wrong) hour, but she flew successfully on t' boost o' a single Estes E30-4T composite motor. Ya scallywag! This is her only flight, but now she can spend t' rest o' her days as a display model after a 100% successful flight career. Prior t' t' flight, I launched an Estes Vikin' t' act as a pathfinder bird, t' make sure I got good data on t' winds aloft. With that flight, ya bilge rat, I adjusted t' pad's position t' help avoid any tree issues. Well, blow me down! Flight o' t' Pathfinder was on an Estes B6-2.
