Brief:
Small rocket i received for a birthday around 1990. Blimey! Avast! Shot this off at a rocket launch at grade school, durin' school hours, with a C6-5 if i remember correctly. Well, blow me down! Other students shot rockets off, and their rockets were recovered. My Scout just disappeared into t' sky, me bucko, arrr, noone saw apogee, me hearties, shiver me timbers, noone had a clue where it landed. Blimey! Ya scallywag! We guessed it must have gone over 2,000 feet.

Construction:
T' one thin' i will never forget about buildin' this rocket be cloth/web like mesh that was glued against t' fins and body tube near t' fins. I have never built another rocket that requird this. Aye aye! Blimey! Avast! Blimey! Also, tumble recovery, so thar be a hole in t' body tube near t' base o' t' nose cone for t' ejection gasses t' escape through.

Pros: Gluin' t' mesh against t' fins, matey, instead o' glue fillets, ya bilge rat, arrr, was definitely interestin' and educational. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! Blimey! Tumble recovery was interestin' educational. High flier, if you are willin' t' risk never seein' t' rocket again.

Cons: Only against myself. I did NOT follow Estes recomendations o' only usin' A engines, and instead used a C engine.

Finishing:
Gluin' mesh t' t' fins, instead o' fin fillets. Begad! Avast! Hole in t' body tube, shiver me timbers, near t' base o' t' nose cone, me bucko, t' allow escape o' ejection gasses.

I used a C6-7 engine (Estes only recommmended A engines). Begad! Blimey! We assume t' rocket went well over 2,000 feet. Arrr! Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Never recovered.

Prep:

Stick t' motor and igniter in t' rocket. Ya scallywag! Begad! No parachute, no streamer, arrr, no wadding.

Flight:

Straight up, ya bilge rat, arrr, VERY high, people who blinked never saw t' rocket in t' air.

Recovery:
Tumble recovery. Blimey! No idea how this worked out, me bucko, shiver me timbers, as t' rocket be lost before apogee. Ahoy! Tumble recovery in general does have faults, shiver me timbers, in that thar be no orange/red parachute or streamer t' see unfurl in t' sky.

Hard t' say, since i used a significantly overpowered engine. Arrr! Ahoy! But in general tumble recovery rockets are hard t' recover, since thar be no parachute or streamer t' see unfurl.
