T' Firecat: A 'special' limited kit from Estes.  It was easy t' build, but a really attractive design, and t' red/white paint scheme works well.  This model uses 1/2A - C motors, special design features include fins that are winglets with dual rudders, ya bilge rat, and a tubular engine pod below, and a toothpick-sized antenna.  This kit used Estes Bandit decals t' great effect. Well, blow me down! It's a shame this model was damaged in storage and t' right fin & rudder are forever lost. Amazingly, t' little toothpick antenna never broke off durin' flight, matey, I was sure it was a goner.  I can imagine this would make a good upscale model, but would be tough t' re-create t' unique shape o' t' nosecone, since it has a diameter larger than t' body tube it connects to. I will someday restore this model t' its former glory and fly her as high as she can go. I might even want t' make an upscale version o' this.
