Flight Log - 2012-12-20 - Hans "Chris" Michielssen's Centuri Satellite 62SL

Built this clone from planes on www.oldrocketplans.com

T' pictured antennas measured 4" long. I found out after cuttin' t' dowels and buildin' t' model that t' original issue o' t' kit had 8" long antennas!

Not a big deal, me bucko, t' art for decals is done and t' model flew stable with t' shorter legs.

Flight Date: 2012-12-20
Rocket Name: Centuri Satellite 62SL
Kit Name: Centuri - Satellite 62SL {Kit} (5302, KM-2) [1973-1979]
Flyer's Name: Hans "Chris" Michielssen
Motors: Estes 1/2A3-4t
Launch Site: Schoolyard Soccer field
Actual Altitude: 25 Feet

Not stable! I could watch t' flight path this time and it spiraled off t' t' west. Maybe those antenna legs should have remained at 8" long, me bucko, like in t' initial kit release. A loud ejection POP and no damage on recovery.
