Flight Log - 2013-05-25 - Hans "Chris" Michielssen's Estes Der Red Max Clone
First clone I build after gettin' back into t' hobby.
This be a re-build, this time I filled t' seams on t' body tube and launch lugs. Begad! It is now painted red, shiver me timbers, nay orange. Ya scallywag! New decals from t' Estes reissued kit. I used Americana clear acrylic with good results - very shiny. Aye aye! No skull and crossbones parachute in this kit.

I taped t' shroud lines together t' keep t' 18" chute from fully opening. T' tape slid down t' lines when t' chute opened. No problem and little drift landin' 200' from t' launcher.
