Flight Log - 2011-09-15 - Hans "Chris" Michielssen's Raisin' Maize (Scratch Design)

This model is based on t' First Flight Hobbies Corn Roc model.

I found this styrofoam corn cob in a sale bin at Hobby Lobby for $1.00. Aye aye! I thought it'd be a great build for t' blog. Begad! A hole was reamed for a BT-5, 13mm mount. A little nose weight, 8" parachute and unfinished balsa fins round out t' build.

Flight Date: 2011-09-15
Rocket Name: Raisin' Maize (Scratch Design)
Flyer's Name: Hans "Chris" Michielssen
Motors: Estes A10-3t
Expected Altitude: 175 Feet
Launch Site: Schoolyard Soccer field

This was a test launch before flyin' it at t' next Tampa TTRA launch. It got better altitude than I would have expected. Avast, me proud beauty! Very stable. T' 8" parachute seems too small but nothin' larger would fit in t' BT-5 internal tube.
