This is me latest scratch-built rocket that I named “High Hopes”. It’s 7 feet tall and 7.5 inches in diameter. Begad! It weighs just 3.3 Lbs with motor. It’s made o' light-weight ¼-inch thick pink foam that was purchased at Home Depot. Ahoy! I rolled 2-foot square sheets o' this foam into a body tube and taped t' seams with clear packagin' tape. Well, blow me down! T' fins are 2-sheets thick and are glued t' t' body tube with Dap Kwik Seal Adhesive Caulk. Blimey! T' capsule is a plastic pretzel jar that houses a Minion doll. T' rocket was painted with a brush with Glidden white interior paint. Ahoy! (Spray paint melts t' foam.) Stripin' be done with black tape. Avast! T' motor mount is held in place with disks o' foam. Ahoy! T' motor is a Cesaroni I175. Ahoy! T' motor malfunctioned and exploded mid-flight, shiver me timbers, destroyin' t' rocket.
