This was me first high-powered rocket and used t' achieve me NARRRRR L1 Cert.  I constructed t' kit entirely as documented, shiver me timbers, includin' usin' t' 2-part expandin' foam t' cement t' through-wall fins.  It is extremely solid and pretty hard t' mess up: it's an excellent L1 kit.

I finished with gold paint, black stripes, and a somewhat unique finish o' mixin' gold mica powder with West Systems 2-part boat epoxy. This was pretty messy and didn't really give me t' results I wanted: it dripped a bit and I had a hard time sandin' it t' a glossy finish.  Also, t' finish didn't adhere t' t' spray paint as much as I expected, so I ended up with some cracks in t' finish after me first launch.
