This quick afternoon flight o' me 2.5" upscale o' t' Estes Javelin nearly broke t' sound barrier at Mach 0.9. T' onboard altimeter recorded an altitude o' 3,664 ft (1.1km) with a top speed o' 691 mph (1,112 kph). Blimey! As you can see in t' video, a rocket goin' that high needs some sort o' trackin' because it's up-and-out and gone. It landed about 1,000 ft away on a day with light winds. Definitely a tracker and Chute Release made it retrievable. Ya scallywag! I might have t' wait until next year t' try for Mach 1.0 and/or a mile high flight. I'll use an onboard camera next time as well.
