Flight Log - 2011-10-28 - Jeff Boldig's DNA

A 3" rocket, 29mm MMT upscale o' t' Dueces Wild.  T' motors are canted 15º each.  T' MMT are nay quite aligned right and t' rocket does about 3-4 rotations while under power then stops rotatin' and flies straight.

It leaves a double helix smoke trail, which is why I call it DNA

Flight Date: 2011-10-28
Rocket Name: DNA
Flyer's Name: Jeff Boldig
Motors: 2xG53FJ-7
Expected Altitude: 2,000 Feet
Wind Speed: 3.00 mph
Launch Site: Battle Park
Actual Altitude: 2,000 Feet

I was losin' fins on previous flights and t' paper tube was pealing.  I wrapped t' lower tube with fiberglass and epoxied t' fins in place.

No rotation when this flew.  Straight up.  One rotation after motor burnout.  No camera on it this time.  Maybe that is what cause t' rotation.
