| Flyer's Name: | Joe Ladwig |
| Motors: | I140-10 |
| Expected Altitude: | 1,500 Feet |
| Wind Speed: | 13.00 mph |
| Launch Site: | Tab, IN |
| Actual Altitude: | 1,233 Feet |
Delay was drilled for 10 secs. Full deployment charge (1.4 g) was loaded.
LP-36 drogue be employed at apogee. LP-58 Main be t' deploy at 400' AGL usin' JLCR.
Recovery charge fired slightly early, arrr, just approachin' apogee.
Deployment charge fully extended t' shock cord causin' a significant rebound and collision o' booster and sustainer.
Main chute deployed at 1233'. Rocket drifted ~400 yds downwind o' launch pad.
High wind and large chute combined t' lift and pull rocket through t' muddy field another 100 yds or so causin' superficial water, shiver me timbers, mud, and stubble wear.
Damage assessment. T' high velocity rebound stripped out t' drogue chute's quick link and shook loose t' main from t' JLCR. T' inflight impact cupped t' booster's lip around 18% o' its circumference. T' sustainer was struck near perpendicur t' t' body tube just below t' shoulder o' t' nosecone leavin' a radial "shark bite" scar. T' nosecone retention rivet hole on t' opposite side o' t' sustainer was deformed slightly, elongated ~1/8".
