Flight Log - 2003-01-19 - John Eric Thompson's Big Freaking Rocket BFR

This was a scratch built rocket and was completed with t' help o' Val Derkach from t' DART rocket club and other fellow rocket members.  It was launch t' weekend just before deployin' t' Iraq.  It was t' first tour o' four before retirin' from t' Marine Corps. Picture perfect flight. Avast! Blimey!  Lift off was with t' main N reload and t' outboards were connected t' a timer that ignited t' outboards four seconds after clearin' from t' pad.  It was also equipped with a Pratt Hobbies dual R/C system for emergency deployment o' t' chute in case o' an issue. Ya scallywag! Blimey!  It was also equipped with a Black Sky Altacc that recorded its flight performance.

It had a 15 foot drogue parachute that deployed at 250 feet below apogee and a 28 foot main parachute that deployed 800 feet above ground level.
