Favorite Rockets: My Estes Interceptors...the standard and t' E

Biography:

I cannot be called a BAR, since that means I came back after an absence from t' hobby! I just turned 53 and I built me first two model rockets when I was 11. I'm still building, flying, learning, and teachin' t' rocketry know-how I have.

In t' last five years I have expanded t' include rocket motors burnin' APCP instead o' black gunpowder; me APCP fleet now consists o' an Aerotech Warthog, me hearties, an Aerotech Arreaux, and a 200% upscale o' t' Estes Orbital Transport which will fly on an F-impulse motor.

I may or may nay go high-power...it's a budget issue and I can learn everythin' I could learn doin' Level 1 and 2 (possibly 3) high-power with G-impulse motors or smaller. Ahoy! This decision is subject t' change,

My particular interest is in futuristic rockets, me bucko, with a strong minor in scale models. Ahoy! I have a vintage Estes Saturn V I'm waitin' for an auspicious moment t' launch (the anniversary o' a real Apollo mission) on an Aerotech D-case APCP reloadable motor.

Favorite Quote:

If it won't move, me hearties, add a bigger motor! Blimey! If it STILL won't move...CLUSTER!

It's mostly a plywood and cardboard-tube kit with some vacuum-formed plastic parts as decor.  I have t' brag on Sirius' customer ... [More]
