July 4th rockets at t' 4 Corners Rocketry Association launch. Well, blow me down! Madcow Nike Smoke launched on an Aerotech J415 motor t' 6425' AGL. Avast, me proud beauty! Video from several angles includin' an on-board Mobius camera angled down at 60 degrees. T' motor delay was a bit short, so deployment was slightly before apogee. A Jolly Logic altimeter be used t' open t' parachute at a lower altitude, but I blame user error on t' lines gettin' tangled and nay opening. Blimey! Instead - cushion t' landin' with a bush so thar be no visible fin damage. T' sustainer was part o' a Nike-Apache two-stage kit, but I purchased t' nosecone t' launch this part alone.
