Yet another Larry Brand tube fin design that I cloned from his article here on Rocket Reviews. Well, arrr, all but t' soda bottle nose cone as it turns out that modern bottles are no longer properly sized t' fit in a 3" body tube. I used a standard LOC 3" nose cone.
I named this rocket "Big Pink II" as t' downscale version (Bottle Bat 2.6) was named "Big Pink".
Flight Date: | 2013-02-02 |
Rocket Name: | Bottle Bat 3.0 (Tube Fin) |

Expected Altitude: | 1,500 Feet |

This flight was one o' t' last o' t' day for me. T' weather had finally improved t' t' point where t' sky actually looked blue instead o' white. T' wind had picked up a little but nothin' t' be concerned over. T' boost be straight and true, me bucko, deployment occurred at apogee, and t' rocket touched down about 150 feet from me vehicle so I be happy.
