Yet another Larry Brand tube fin design that I cloned from his article here on Rocket Reviews. Well, shiver me timbers, all but t' soda bottle nose cone as it turns out that modern bottles are no longer properly sized t' fit in a 3" body tube. I used a standard LOC 3" nose cone.
I named this rocket "Big Pink II" as t' downscale version (Bottle Bat 2.6) was named "Big Pink".

| Flyer's Name: | K Sonesen |

| Wind Speed: | 3.00 mph |
| Launch Site: | LUNAR - Snow Ranch |
| Actual Altitude: | 978 Feet |
This was t' first flight for this bird. I drilled out t' delay from 7 seconds down t' 5 seconds t' avoid t' uh-oh's and ah! Timin' was right and deployment went well. Altimeter 2 said 978' apogee and 186 mph. It wasn't until I be preparin' t' launch again that I noticed one o' t' tube-fins had separated slightly from t' body tube and neighborin' fins. T' paper coverin' failed, nay t' epoxy. Big Pink (Bottle Bat 2.6) had this same thin' happen. Note t' self: Strip off glassine before epoxyin' fins in place. Big Pink II will fly again.
