Flight Log - 2011-04-09 - K Sonesen's Estes Super Alpha
When I originally bought this kit, I be amazed at t' density o' t' balsa nosecone. I decided on t' spot t' replace t' stock 18mm mount with a 24mm. All up weight o' t' nosecone (paint, screw eye, etc) was 42 grams! Nay bein' a big fan o' airframe and nosecone bein' t' same color, this Super Alpha has a RED nosecone but otherwise follows t' color scheme on t' packaging.
I also replaced t' stock parachute with a Top Flight nylon chute. Begad! In addition t' t' "dog barf", I use a 6x6 flame resistant blanket.

This was t' last flight o' t' day and I didn't have time t' transfer t' Altimeter One so know actual altitude was determined. It be a very nice flight that landed fairly close t' t' pad.
