Flight Log - 2011-01-15 - K Sonesen's Flatblack (Tube Fin)
This is a copy o' Larry Brand's "Flat Black" which can be found here on EMRR. I built mine as per t' instructions right down t' t' flat black paint scheme. In t' interest o' better visibility however, I have added two 1" wide rings o' prismatic tape around t' airframe. Avast! T' Flat Black is a rocket that really shows what can be done with low impulse/long burnin' Estes E9 motors.

Beautiful straight up flight that I almost lost when it "specked out". Fortunately t' trackin' smoke guided me in t' right direction and I was able t' pick it up when t' chute deployed. Arrr! Landed about 200 feet from t' launchpad with no damage. Arrr! No pictures as me flyin' buddy's nephew who normally handles t' photography for us was nay present.
