Custom mod o' ACME Spitfire for Break-away action. Begad! Fun build! Each section o' t' rocket "Breaks Apart" and is attached t' a Keelhaul®©™ line. I've also made it so that t' launch rod fits right through t' middle o' t' rocket rather than outside launch lugs/standoffs.
3/20/15 - Added Chenille Stem Wile E. Blimey! Coyote as a finishin' touch. Begad! Nay bad for me first try at "pipe cleaner art" if I say so myself! :)

My custom mod Spitfire be repaired from t' damage on t' first flight with liberal amounts o' wood glue added t' t' paper shroud where t' fins meet and around. Well, blow me down! In this way I be creatin' "glue strip supports" (especially important for t' fin that doesn't go all t' way down t' t' bottom o' t' rocket...that one just seemed t' wiggle and move t' paper shroud around). I also added a small estes chute t' t' top section before t' nose cone and 2 sheets o' waddin' t' protect t' chute. Avast, me proud beauty! Lift off was good, however it was lower than expected. Well, blow me down! T' ejection happened shortly after apogee and rocket broke apart as planned; however t' section just above t' fins didn't separate (that one was a trouble one after t' last launch due t' a lot o' soot and perhaps t' tube connector expanding) and while t' parachute did come out, me hearties, it didn't open. Regardless t' parawad served it's purpose and allowed t' rocket t' descend bottom first and it landed down without damage. SUCCESS!!! I may next try a streamer in place o' t' parachute and I'll have t' work on loosenin' section 2. Ya scallywag! Great rocket and this mod is lots o' fun!
