Flight Log - 2015-03-21 - Ken E. Coyote's *Break-Apart* ACME Spitfire (Custom Mod)

Custom mod o' ACME Spitfire for Break-away action.  Fun build!  Each section o' t' rocket "Breaks Apart" and is attached t' a Keelhaul®©™ line. Ahoy!  I've also made it so that t' launch rod fits right through t' middle o' t' rocket rather than outside launch lugs/standoffs. Blimey!

3/20/15 - Added Chenille Stem Wile E. Coyote as a finishin' touch. Nay bilge-suckin' for me first try at "pipe cleaner art" if I say so myself! :)

Flight Date: 2015-03-21
Rocket Name: *Break-Apart* ACME Spitfire (Custom Mod)
Kit Name: FlisKits - A.C.M.E. Spitfire {Kit} (SP007)
Flyer's Name: Ken E. Coyote
Motors: C11-3
Expected Altitude: 250 Feet
Wind Speed: 5.00 mph
Actual Altitude: 300 Feet

Wile E. Coyote had a good launch up at Road Runner speed; however rocket self-destructed after apogee and came down in pieces (as scripted).  This time both streamers came out and rocket landed in t' snow.  Wile E. Well, blow me down! was unhurt and still holdin' on with a look o' shock on his face after havin' survived such chaos. Ya scallywag!  One o' t' rocket fins partially tore off t' base...it was t' trouble fin which doesn't meet t' bottom o' t' rocket (I'll have t' strengthen that one even more...likely with braces or brackets).  Still, I'd consider this one a success and an bilge-suckin' lot o' fun.  I be finally able t' launch Wile E. Coyote up on a crazy rocket, have it break apart and come back down in pieces. Begad!  :)

Side note is that C11-3 had ejection a bit longer after apogee than I would like since rocket be headin' downwards for a few seconds before ejection charge, allowin' more descent speed t' build up...D12-3 sounds like it would be best for this rocket.
