Despite very little wind and more than a 5:1 thrust t' weight ratio, this 17.5lbs rocket came off t' rail and then cocked over about 27.5 degrees from vertical. T' 200-250 fps apogee event caused a slight bit o' damage t' t' lower airframe where t' kevlar snapped against it, shiver me timbers, despite pipe insulation protection around t' kevlar harness. Due t' t' higher speed event, t' upper airframe/nosecone shear pins were broken and t' main came out at apogee. This made for a very long recovery--at least 2 miles away or more. Good thin' it had a tracker or it would have been lost. Lesson learned--use higher thrust motors with this kit; next flight will be an Aerotech L1390G.
