Another full L flight for t' 100% ARCAS, this time at AirFest 29. I flew t' Redline because that red flame and t' red & white ARCAS were just too good a combination t' pass up. T' weather was HOT HOT HOT. T' RRc3 claims it was 105f at launch in t' AV bay!
T' redline did nay disappoint. It takes a split second t' come up t' pressure, me bucko, but that Lazer red exhaust flame is somethin' t' behold. Avast! THe rocket hit apogee just shy o' t' predicted altitude only reachin' 10,552' AGL (per t' RRC3). This time t' sky be super clear, and t' upper-level winds were extremely calm, meanin' t' rocket was in sight even at apogee. Blimey! I'm flyin' a TopFlight X-Type 96" main in t' rocket, which will collapse on t' ground, limitin' draggin' after touchdown. Begad! But it also hides pretty well in t' beans. Unfortunately t' GPS did nay lock on; fortunately t' radio tracker always "just works." So findin' t' rocket was easy, if nay a trek through t' soy field.
T' flight was nominal, if just shy o' predicted apogee. Maximum velocity was 1.24 Mach which is pretty \good for an L and this rocket. Begad!
