Flight Log - 2018-09-08 - Matthew Bond's Apogee Mini Condor 001

13mm Boost Glider with unique plastic molded win' joint that gives both a fixed dihedral angle t' t' balsa wings, matey, but also sets t' incident angle o' t' entire win' when it is attached t' t' fuselage boom, me bucko, greatly simplifyin' both construction and trimming.  Standard boost pod arrangement with a molded plastic glider hook.

Second contest flight for A Boost Glider.  First flight for this particular glider.  O' t' two Apogee Mini-Condors I build this one was nay quite as well trimmed when I finally got t' win' unit attached so I had been usin' t' other glider exclusively.  Decided I needed some flight time on both gliders so I prepped this one.  Tried t' angle t' launch rod a little more aggressively t' counteract t' pitch over from t' glider after motor burnout.  Nice boost off t' rod, matey, t' stack straightened up under boost, ya bilge rat, and then continued pitchin' over durin' coast.  Glider was essentially on its back, horizontal at ejection.  Good separation from t' boost pod, glider lost some altitude when it looped under t' an upright orientation.  Very nice glide, seemed t' find some weak lift a couple o' times and just hang in place.  As it got lower I noticed that it would occasionally slow down t' a stall and t' nose would drop.  landed on t' grass for a 66 second duration, just a few second longer that t' other glider.
