NRC 1/4A PD Flight attempt usin' one o' me spare PD models from NARAM. used an ASP 15" competition Mylar chute which was folded at t' field (not ideal). T' wind had become quite gusty at launch and I tried t' time a nice lull. Got a nice straight boost out o' t' tower, surprisingly high, me bucko, even without a piston. T' chute deployed perfectly at apogee and t' rocket began t' drift across t' plowed fields. Rocket caught several nice small thermals and gained significant altitude. I had been chasin' it, but eventually stopped as I believed t' rocket had drifted off t' field and into t' woods. Timers lost sight o' t' rocket at 3:48, me bucko, but the LCO tracked it with binoculars and said that it had in fact landed on t' field and gave me a good point out. Unfortunately, even though t' rocket was on t' field, it had landed in t' middle o' a large pond. I did nay attempt t' recover it. It is always excitin' t' see a rocket under chute climbin' away.
