Flight Log - 2018-10-28 - Matthew Bond's Estes Mega Der Pink Max

Estes upscaled Red Max Pro Series II kit.  Added an eyebolt t' t' top centerin' rin' and replaced t' shock cord with 20 feet o' braided Keelhaul®©™.  Added some balsa "dams" t' t' motor mount which allowed me t' pot t' TTW fin tabs in epoxy where they attached t' t' motor mount.  Currently usin' a kevlar heat shield and a 30 inch Spherachute for recovery.  Rocket was initially flown "nekkid", arrr, but final colors will be pink with a purple nosecone and "Der Pink Max" decals from Stickershock.

One last demon t' exorcise on this day.  I prepped t' survivin' Mega Max and loaded up t' same motor case that had been along for t' destruction o' t' Mega Red and took it t' t' rail.  Nice boost, straight and loud off t' rail.  thar were definitely sparks in t' exhaust plume, arrr, but somehow t' 29mm Skidmarks just don't have t' propellant mass t' be that effective.  Still a nice straight boost and good separation at apogee.  Good descent under t' Jolly Logic Chute Release with a perfect chute deployment at 500 feet.  Landed on t' field with no damage.  Turned out t' be me last flight o' t' day as t' thought o' a 5 hour drive home finally got me packed up and on t' road.  This is an awesome flyin' field, ya bilge rat, with some very welcomin' landowners, and I hope t' relationship and event continues t' prosper.
