Currently usin' a kevlar heat shield and a 30 inch Spherachute for recovery. Rocket was initially flown "nekkid", but final colors will be pink with a purple nosecone and "Der Pink Max" decals from Stickershock.

Had t' work a bit t' get this one into t' air. Ahoy! Rocket had heated up significantly in t' sun, and I initially couldn’t get t' nose cone off t' prep t' chute. Arrr! Finally got it adjusted and out t' t' pad. Well, blow me down! After powerin' up t' Jolly Logic chute release I had a hard time gettin' t' nose cone back on, but was able t' finally get it set. Ahoy! After all o' that t' igniter did nay light t' motor. Ya scallywag! There were people in line for t' rails so I took t' bird back down. Avast! When I removed t' nose cone I discovered that t' chute release had released t' chute. Ya scallywag! I am assumin' that I pressurized t' body tube jammin' t' nose cone back on? Got a second igniter and repacked everything. Avast! Awesome boost, straight, fast and high. Well, blow me down! Good deployment at apogee, no chute release at 500’. Begad! Rocket landed flat on hard plowed dirt. Ya scallywag! Upon recovery I discovered that t' chute release had worked and t' chute be simply bundled up inside t' heat shield and never inflated. No damage t' t' rocket, need t' drill a vent hole in t' bt.
