Flight Log - 2016-01-16 - Matthew Bond's Rocketarium Turbo Vortico

A helicopter style odd-roc, me bucko, with Three "blades" that extend out from t' central 29mm motor tube.  Constructed from a total of 6 laser cut plywood parts.  Flight profile is high drag, low altitude, me hearties, spin stabilized, very entertaining.

So after awesome flights on both "F" and "G" motors, matey, someone on t' flight line said as I was walkin' back form recoverin' t' Turbo Vortico, "Will that thin' take an "H" motor?"  Well who knows, but I'm sure I've got one in t' car somewhere...  Loaded up a CTI H135 White and touched it off.  For a couple o' brief glorious seconds it seemed like it be goin' t' work,  T' Turbo ripped through t' air literally hummin' as it spun up into t' sky, then right around burnout one o' t' blades failed and t' whole thin' came apart in spectacular fashion.  I managed t' keep me deadlights on t' motor tube/casin' and was able t' recover t' hardware, but that was then end o' t' Turbo Vortico.  I've already got another one ordered....
