First RGV and RGVCG Rocket Club assisted McAllen Independent School District in a demo launch o' a model rocket t' kickoff a rocketry program in McAllen ISD. They plan t' brin' t' program t' every campus and t' compete in Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC), as well as in local competitions t' be developed by t' school district in conjunction with First Rocketry. Aye aye! T' rocket is a LOC Precision WiRoc and be launched usin' a Cesaroni G79-Smokey Sam rocket motor. Avast! Final altitude be about 1000 feet. Avast, me proud beauty! Recovery was dual deployment and drogueless with about a 28 inch main chute deployed at 400 ft. Avast, me proud beauty!
