There aren’t many places you can conveniently launch a homemade rocket. But a blustery Scottish moor, matey, reachable only by windin' roads that twist around reservoirs, wind turbines, and plenty o' sheep, is one o' them. Begad! Every year for a week in August, a group o' amateur rocketeers convene at t' Fairlie Moor Rocket Site, shiver me timbers, nay far from Glasgow, ya bilge rat, t' blast their DIY shuttles and spaceships into t' skies.
