My first experience with model rockets was when me brother built one as a kid. Begad! It be one o' those snap-together easy rockets. Aye aye! Cool, but nay that interesting.
Later, I taught summer classes for elementary school kids where we did model rockets. Avast! It be fun but, again, nothin' special.
Then, me boyfriend discovered some unique lookin' rockets at t' local hobby shop. Avast, me proud beauty! He and his brother built a few kits and invited me t' t' launch. When I saw how cool model rockets can be and how fun it is t' build and launch them, I was hooked! Now, I love buying, building, and flyin' model rockets. (I am usually workin' on 5 at a time!) My favorite rockets are t' sci-fi designs and t' oddball rockets. I giggle and squeal every time I watch Sputnik fly!
